PROFILE OF BOARD MEMBERS

Prof. Deborah Enilo Ajakaiye

Prof Deborah Ajakaiye is the Founder and President of CCWA. She studied in the University of Ibadan and graduated with an Honours degree in Physics in 1962 of university of London, UK, holds a Masters degree in Applied Geophysics from University of Birmingham, U.K in 1964, and a Ph.D. in Applied Geophysics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria in 1970. Prof. Deborah Ajakaiye has held various posts Internationally and within Nigeria, including, Chairman/President (Co-founder), Association of Geoscientists for International Development (AGID); President, Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society; Vice President, Association of Geophysicists involved in Exploration and Research in Africa (AGERA); President, African Region, American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), and Head of Department of Physics and Dean of Faculty of Natural Sciences at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and University of Jos, Jos. Also, she has won a number of Awards both within Nigeria and Internationally as a geophysicist. She derived great joy and fulfilment in replacing gloom with smiles on the faces of less privileged in the Society - Widows, Widowers, Aged and Orphans.

Dr. Francis Kehinde Kashimawo

Dr. Francis Kehinde Kashimawo graduated as a Medical Doctor from University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria in 1986 and had a postgraduate training in Public Health in University of Leeds, UK. He has an International Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance (IDHA) from the Geneva, Switzerland Centre for International Humanitarian Cooperation in cooperation with Fordham University, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the United Nations System Staff College. Knowledgeable in forging trans-cultural communication and relationship in a not-for-profit organization, for 20 years, Francis has been coordinating health care, microcredit, rural development and provision of basic education to peoples of varying tribes and cultures in places of very difficult geographical accessibility in northern Nigeria. He was the pioneer chairperson and now a member of the Board of Trustees of NICAN (now CNAN), a nationwide Network of careers for people living with HIV and AIDS. He is also involved in the leadership of the Christian Medical and Dental Association of Nigeria (CMDA Nigeria), and is currently the pioneer Dean of Institute of Medical Missions whose aim is to inculcate Christian discipline and service to Humanity in medical students and younger medical colleagues.

Mr. Danladi Verheijen

Mr. Danladi Verheijen is the Chief Executive Officer of Verod Capital Limited, a Lagos based corporate finance and investment company. Prior to Verod, he served as a Vice President at Citibank Nigeria. He has also held roles at Ocean and Oil Holdings and at McKinsey & Company. Danladi has an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS in Engineering Economic Systems & Operations Research from Stanford University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Calvin College. He is also an Alumni Board member of Calvin College as well as an executive member of Harvard Business School Associate of Nigeria (HBSAN).
