Christian Care for Widows, Widowers, The Aged and Orphans (CCWAO)

Welcome To CCWA

The Founder’s personal experience and observations of the heartaches, suffering and the loneliness of widows, widowers the aged and orphans in the university environment of Zaria and Jos Plateau state Nigeria where she lecture for several years and the Jos community where she grew up, that struck her that something has to be done. She began to care for this category of people privately for about 20years before CCWA was born.
Founded in 1991, the lord showed her quite clearly from the scriptures that He dearly loves and cares for these people (Isaiah 61:1-3, Deuteronomy 14:28-29), and that they need to live contented and fulfilling lives while on earth. He does not want loneliness and depression to be part of their lives (1Timothy 5:3). This gave birth to Christian Care for Widows, widowers, the Aged and Orphans (CCWA). It was inaugurated in September 1992 at Hill Station Hotel by the then Governor of Plateau State Nigeria. What started as a modest beginning in Jos has spread to more than 679 centres with over 89,883 members in 28 Districts spread across the 28 States of Nigeria and the FCT Abuja.
